How are words counted?
Anything separated by spaces or line breaks counts as a word, in any language. Numbers and hyphenated words count once.
Does the text leave my browser?
It is sent to our server to count and is not stored unless you ask for the result by email.
What is the ideal length for a blog post?
There is no fixed number. Pages that rank for detailed questions tend to run 1,000 words or more; product and service pages are often shorter and still rank because they answer the search.
