About the keyword density checker

What is a good keyword density?

There is no number to hit. Pages rank for saying something useful about a topic, which naturally repeats it. Use the table to check the topic is clear, not to reach a percentage.

Does it read the whole page?

It reads the visible text of the page, without menus and scripts, up to 20,000 words.

Are stop words removed?

Yes for the tables, so "the" and "and" do not crowd out the terms that matter. The total counts include them.
