What is a DNS record?
A line in the domain's zone that maps a name to an address, a mail server, a nameserver or a text value. Browsers, mail servers and certificate authorities all read them.
Why do results differ from my DNS provider?
Changes take time to reach every resolver. The lookup here is live from a public resolver and is cached for an hour.
Is the lookup private?
DNS records are public by design. Nothing about the lookup is kept except the result, for an hour.
